2009 Annual Meeting

The Darke County Chamber of Commerce held its 2009 Annual Meeting at the Greenville Country Club on May 7, 2009. After a delicious hot breakfast, the new officers and directors of the Chamber were introduced and officially installed by Judge Jon Hein of Darke County Common Pleas Court. Attendees were presented with the “2009-2010 Report to the Membership” by Chamber Chairman Todd Durham.   There were also many awards presented, including the prestigious Chamber Citizen of the Year Award, which is the highest community recognition award given by the Chamber. It honors the individual who exemplifies the best in volunteer and community service.  

Mike Snyder was honored as the 2009 "Citizen of the Year".  His list of accomplishments and community service activities is extensive and includes service toorganizations such as Greenville Public Access Television, Main Street Greenville, Darke County Chapter of American Red Cross, United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Darke County Youth for Christ.  He also supported the local Boy Scouts and is a membe rof the Versailles Masonic Lodge and Greenville Kiwanis.  His service to the Chamber includes past Chairman, member of the Business Committee, Education Committee and chairman of the Ambassador and Golf Outing.  Thank you for your service, Mike.  The honor of 2009 Citizen of the Year is well-deserved!
